Hannah Kauders is a writer-translator and educator from Boston. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and teaches writing at Harvard.
For her writing, Hannah has been a finalist for The Iowa Review Award. For her translation of Iván Monalisa Ojeda’s Las Biuty Queens, she was shortlisted for the Premio Valle Inclán and nominated for the International Booker Prize. Her work has appeared in The Drift, Astra Magazine, Lit Hub, Fiction International, Gulf Coast Magazine and more.
Writing: Hannah is at work on a novel.
Translation: Hannah is interested in stylistically innovative projects that defy genre. Her translation of Galápagosby Fátima Vélez is just out from Astra House, and her translation of Claudia Amador’s Highblood is forthcoming from Primero Sueño Press in 2027.
